BINK36 is the largest start-up ecosystem in The Hague, sporting a gross floor area of 40,000 sqm. For the better part of a century, the monumental buildings served as central workshop and warehouse for KPN, former national telecommunications provider. Suffice to say there was no shortage of copper wired telephone lines, but with local DSL services maxing out at 8/1 Mbps (oversubscribed), the poor internet connectivity became a major hurdle for some of the 200-300 tenants to grow their businesses.
